Bingo at San Manuel: What the Record Shows

A reader asking whether bingo still runs at San Manuel is asking about a venue whose documented history begins with bingo: the property opened as the original San Manuel Bingo on July 24, 1986, according to publicly published reference sources. The venue today carries the name Yaamava' Resort & Casino, sits on the San Manuel Reservation in San Bernardino, California, and is owned and operated by the San Manuel Nation.

What this article can give you is the fixed, documented picture: where the venue is, what its recorded facility profile looks like, and how its bingo history is documented. What it cannot give you is a current bingo schedule, because no such schedule is part of the documented record this article is built from. Whether bingo still runs, on what days, and in what hall, is a live operational question that changes without notice, and the only authoritative place to confirm it is the property's own published schedule and guest services line.

The documented bingo origin

The opening date is not a small detail here. Publicly published reference sources record that the original San Manuel Bingo opened on July 24, 1986. That means the venue began as a bingo operation before it became the resort and casino it is documented as today. The name change to Yaamava' Resort & Casino is part of the same public record, and the owner has remained the San Manuel Nation throughout.

What the record does not contain is any statement about whether bingo continues to operate at the property now. A venue can open as a bingo hall, expand into a full casino, and either keep, move, or retire its bingo operation. The documented slot machine count for the property is 7,200, which makes the scale of the current operation clear, but a slot count says nothing about whether a bingo hall is still in service.

Where the venue sits

Yaamava' Resort & Casino is located in San Bernardino, California, on the San Manuel Reservation. Its documented coordinates place it at 34.1503 north latitude and -117.2293 west longitude. That puts it in Southern California's Inland Empire region, east of the Los Angeles metropolitan area and north of the Riverside–San Bernardino corridor.

Because the venue is on tribal land within San Bernardino, its operational decisions, including what games it offers and when, are made by the San Manuel Nation's own gaming operation rather than by a municipal schedule. That does not tell you whether bingo runs; it tells you that the answer lives with the property itself, not with a city or county office.

Straight-line distances from documented reference points

The table below lists the great-circle distances from Yaamava' Resort & Casino to the reference points supplied in the publicly published record for this article. Every figure is a straight-line measurement, not a road distance.

Every figure above is a straight-line, great-circle measurement between two documented coordinate pairs. Road distance is always longer, and this article does not publish road mileage or any travel time. Mountain ranges, water crossings, and the shape of the highway network all add distance that a straight line cannot capture.

Why straight-line distance is not your drive

A straight-line figure is the shortest path across the surface of the earth between two points. It ignores terrain, roads, and legal boundaries. For a venue in San Bernardino, the difference between a straight line and a drivable route is shaped by the San Gabriel and San Bernardino mountain ranges that separate the Inland Empire from the Los Angeles Basin to the west and the high desert to the north.

Water and road-network geometry matter too. A straight line to Las Vegas, for example, crosses open desert; the road network follows a different corridor. A straight line to San Diego crosses through or around mountain terrain, and the actual route is longer. None of that changes the fixed position of the venue, but it does mean no straight-line figure should be read as a trip plan.

What the keyword asks that the record does not answer

The question "is there still bingo at San Manuel" is a current-operations question. The documented record for this article contains the opening date, the owner, the location, and the slot machine count. It does not contain a bingo schedule, a bingo hall status, or any statement about whether bingo is currently offered.

That is not a gap this article can fill by guessing. A bingo schedule is exactly the kind of live operational detail that changes without notice and is published by the property itself. The correct move is to treat the documented origin as historical fact and treat the current schedule as something only the venue can confirm.

What to confirm before you go

If your reason for asking is that you want to play bingo at this venue, confirm the following before travelling. The channel that holds the current answer is the property's own published schedule and guest services line, not this article.

• Whether bingo is currently offered at all, and under what name.
• The days and session times, if bingo is offered.
• Whether the bingo hall is in the same building as the main casino floor or a separate structure.
• Any minimum buy-in or session package structure, which changes without notice.
• Whether bingo is restricted to certain age groups or requires a players-club card.

The venue's fixed location and documented history are stable. Its game mix is not. Treat the first as fact and the second as something to verify on the day you plan to go.

FAQ

Did San Manuel start as a bingo hall?

Yes. Publicly published reference sources record that the original San Manuel Bingo opened on July 24, 1986, on the San Manuel Reservation in San Bernardino, California. The property has since become Yaamava' Resort & Casino, owned and operated by the San Manuel Nation. The documented record does not state whether bingo continues to operate at the property today.

How many slot machines does Yaamava' have?

The documented figure is 7,200 slot machines, recorded in publicly published reference sources. Facility figures of this kind are revised as properties are rebuilt and expanded, so this number describes a documented point in time rather than a live count. A slot machine count does not indicate whether bingo is or is not offered.

How far is San Manuel from Los Angeles?

The straight-line distance between Yaamava' Resort & Casino and Los Angeles is 58.8 miles, and the straight-line distance to LAX is 69.0 miles. Both are great-circle measurements, not road distances. Road distance is always longer, and this article does not publish driving mileage or travel time.
