Zero Gravity Labs (0G Labs) has announced it secured $290 million in financing to develop what it claims will be the world's first decentralized artificial intelligence operating system, named dAIOS. Combined with a prior pre-seed round, total committed funds for the project reach $325 million.

Seed Round and Liquid Line

0G Labs raised $40 million in a seed round from multiple venture capital firms, building on an earlier $35 million pre-seed round from earlier this year. Separately, the 0G Foundation, which oversees long-term governance of the 0G Protocol, received a $250 million commitment in the form of a “liquid line,” granting access to liquid digital assets held on exchanges at over-the-counter rates. This brings total ecosystem funding to $325 million.

Investors include notable names in blockchain and tech: Hack VC, Delphi Digital, OKX Ventures, Samsung Next, Bankless Ventures, Animoca, as well as individuals such as Sandeep Nailwal (co-founder of Polygon) and Adrian Cheng (CEO of New World Development). Michael Heinrich, CEO of 0G Labs, stated that the diverse backing underscores strong confidence in decentralization for AI.

dAIOS: High-Throughput Decentralized Processing

The core product is dAIOS, a decentralized AI operating system claimed to achieve data processing and storage speeds of 50 gigabytes per second. The system is designed to run AI computations directly on blockchain networks without off-chain data handling. Heinrich emphasized that current AI centralization raises concerns about control and transparency; dAIOS aims to provide a secure, transparent, and accessible decentralized infrastructure.

The 0G Foundation will foster a developer community aligned with decentralization and strengthen R&D through partnerships. Heinrich said, “With dAIOS, we’re building an open and decentralized AI Operating System that ensures security, transparency, and accessibility. This funding will allow us to accelerate our mission.” 0G Labs serves as the primary developer within the 0G ecosystem, while the foundation handles long-term governance.

As global interest in decentralized AI grows, 0G Labs targets its high-speed on-chain AI processing to challenge traditional centralized AI architectures, paving new paths for the convergence of Web3 and AI.
