H1 2026 Security Landscape: Incidents Double, Losses Drop 35%

Beosin Alert monitoring data shows that in the first half of 2026, there were 187 security incidents in the global blockchain sector, with total losses of approximately $1.39 billion. Compared to the same period last year, the frequency of security incidents increased by 107.7%, while losses decreased by 35%.

Although losses have fallen, on-chain attacks remain frequent, and the blockchain field continues to face severe security challenges. Beosin noted that attack techniques are becoming increasingly sophisticated, with cross-chain bridges and DeFi protocols being the main targets.
