China’s three major A-share indexes all finished higher after opening lower, with the Shanghai Composite rising 1.47%, the Shenzhen Component gaining 1.86%, and the ChiNext Index up 1.32%. The STAR 50 Index outperformed with a 4.78% gain. Turnover across the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges reached 2.66 trillion yuan, up by 446 billion yuan from the previous trading session. More than 3,700 stocks across the market advanced on the day, pointing to broad-based strength. Among individual names, Zhongji Innolight posted turnover of more than 67.5 billion yuan, setting a new record above its previous peak of 59.77 billion yuan recorded on July 30, 2026. In sector trading, memory chip shares stayed strong throughout the session, with Piotech up by the 20% daily limit. Photolithography-related names were also active, while precious metals stocks gained ground, with Sichuan Gold and others hitting limit-up. PCB, lithium battery, semiconductor, education, and pharmaceutical shares were also among the top gainers, while banks, oilfield engineering, and liquor stocks lagged.

Combined turnover on the Shanghai and Shenzhen exchanges reached 2.66 trillion yuan, an increase of 446 billion yuan from the previous trading day. More than 3,700 stocks across the market closed higher.

On individual names, Zhongji Innolight recorded turnover of more than 67.5 billion yuan, breaking its previous record high of 59.77 billion yuan set on July 30, 2026.

In sector moves, memory chip stocks stayed strong through the session, with Piotech hitting the 20% daily limit. Photolithography-related shares were active, and Vog Optoelectronics notched a second straight limit-up. Precious metals stocks also moved higher, with Sichuan Gold and others hitting limit-up.

PCB, lithium battery, semiconductor, education, and pharmaceutical shares were also among the top gainers. Banks, oilfield engineering, and liquor names were among the biggest decliners.
