Abaxx Exchange has teamed up with data distribution firm ipushpull to feed real-time and historical exchange data directly into Microsoft Excel, targeting trading firms that still rely on spreadsheets for daily pricing, risk and exposure management.

Excel Remains Central to Trading Desk Workflows

The integration lets users subscribe to specific Abaxx datasets and receive automatic updates inside Excel as new contract data publishes. The move aims to remove friction between execution venues and downstream risk, pricing and exposure processes. “Microsoft Excel remains the beating heart of trading desks worldwide, said Robert Kingham, Head of Strategic Partnerships at ipushpull. Through ipushpull’s platform, firms can pull both historical and live Abaxx data into spreadsheets, with values refreshing automatically – enabling custom analytics without changing existing workflows.

Data Access Beyond Execution

Abaxx Exchange said the partnership extends its market data beyond the point of execution into downstream decision-making. Russell Robertson, Chief Business Development Officer at Abaxx, noted: “As trading firms manage risk and exposure across multiple markets, access to exchange data needs to extend beyond execution. Partnering with ipushpull lets us deliver mission-critical pricing and trade data directly into the tools our clients rely on most.” The integration supports selective subscription to datasets covering LNG, carbon, battery materials, precious metals and other energy-transition commodities.

ipushpull Scales Distribution Without New Front Ends

For ipushpull, the partnership strengthens its role as a data distribution layer for capital markets firms seeking flexible, low-friction delivery. The platform pushes real-time data into Excel, chat tools and APIs via a single integration, replacing manual workflows tied to emails or static files. Both firms said the collaboration reflects a broader shift: market infrastructure is embedding into the everyday tools of participants, with Excel remaining one of the most important endpoints.
