Hyperscale Data Inc. said its subsidiary, Ault Capital Group Inc. (ACG), intends to launch an enterprise-grade XRP lending platform in the third quarter of 2025, targeting U.S. public companies listed across the New York Stock Exchange, NYSE American, and all tiers of the Nasdaq Stock Market. The initiative represents ACG’s first direct move into decentralized finance and signals an effort to bring blockchain-based lending infrastructure into a corporate financing context.
A DeFi Entry Aimed at Public Companies
According to the company’s disclosure, the beta platform is being designed specifically for listed businesses rather than retail borrowers or crypto-native trading firms. ACG said loan structures will be arranged through one-on-one negotiations with applicants, allowing terms to be customized based on the borrower’s profile and financing needs. Eligible companies will be able to apply to borrow up to a fixed amount of XRP, with final terms set between the applicant and ACG.
This negotiated framework suggests ACG is positioning the product as a corporate lending solution rather than a standardized crypto lending marketplace. By focusing on listed firms, the company appears to be targeting a segment that may value tailored financing arrangements, disclosure clarity, and institutional risk controls.
On-Chain Loan Records and Asset-Backed Structures
ACG said that once each loan is finalized, the relevant details will be posted on-chain. The company also indicated that the loans are expected to be secured by assets or convertible into registered shares. That structure is notable because it attempts to combine blockchain-based recordkeeping with mechanisms more familiar to traditional capital markets participants.
In practical terms, the approach could give borrowers access to digital-asset financing while preserving a degree of security and enforceability through asset backing or share-related conversion features. The company has not disclosed standardized lending terms, rates, or collateral thresholds, emphasizing instead that transactions will be negotiated individually.
Hedging XRP Volatility With CME Futures
One of the central challenges in crypto-denominated lending is price volatility. To address that risk, ACG said it plans to use XRP futures listed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) as part of its hedging strategy. The use of regulated futures instruments is intended to help manage fluctuations in the value of XRP during the life of each loan.
This is a key part of the platform’s institutional positioning. Rather than relying only on overcollateralization or internal treasury management, ACG is explicitly highlighting a derivatives-based framework for risk control. The company framed this as part of a broader effort to provide integrated hedging and risk-management tools for both borrowers and lenders operating in an enterprise environment.
Up to $10 Million in XRP for Platform Liquidity
To support liquidity, ACG announced plans to acquire up to $10 million worth of XRP. The company said the platform will leverage the XRP Ledger to facilitate lending that is fast, low-cost, and secure, while the planned XRP purchases would help underpin the system’s lending capacity.
The liquidity commitment is significant because institutional lending platforms need not only a legal and operational framework but also ready access to the digital assets being lent. By tying the launch to a specific acquisition target, ACG is signaling that treasury preparation is part of the rollout plan.
Part of a Broader Blockchain-Finance Strategy
Milton “Todd” Ault, III, executive chairman of Hyperscale Data, described the initiative as part of a wider strategy to merge blockchain infrastructure with traditional finance. He said the enterprise features available through XRP and the XRP Ledger give institutional borrowers and lenders access to embedded hedging and risk-management tools as part of their operations.
That framing places the XRP lending platform within a larger narrative around tokenized finance, where blockchain networks are used not only for payments or trading, but also for corporate financing, collateral management, and operational transparency.
Longer-Term Goals: Tokenization and Cross-Border Payments
Beyond the immediate lending product, ACG said its longer-term vision includes tokenizing real-world assets, supporting alternative corporate financing models, and enabling blockchain-based cross-border payments. These ambitions suggest the company sees the XRP initiative as more than a single product launch; instead, it appears to be a starting point for a wider suite of enterprise financial services built on blockchain rails.
For market participants, this matters because it connects the proposed XRP lending platform to two major themes in digital assets: the institutionalization of crypto-based finance and the expansion of tokenized representations of real-world value.
Corporate Restructuring Still on the Horizon
At the same time, Hyperscale Data said it still expects to divest ACG by the end of 2025. The parent company plans to shift its own strategic focus toward data center operations and bitcoin mining services. That means the XRP lending rollout is taking place alongside an anticipated corporate separation, which could shape how the platform evolves after launch.
In effect, ACG’s proposed XRP lending business stands at the intersection of several trends: public-company interest in alternative financing, the use of blockchain for auditable transaction records, and the growing role of derivatives in institutional crypto risk management. Whether the platform gains traction will likely depend on borrower demand, execution quality, and the ability to translate crypto infrastructure into a format acceptable to public-market companies.
Still, the announcement makes one point clear: ACG is betting that XRP-based lending can be adapted for institutional use, and that listed U.S. companies may be willing to explore blockchain-enabled financing structures when paired with negotiated terms, asset backing, on-chain transparency, and regulated hedging tools.
