American Bitcoin Corp., the Eric Trump-backed bitcoin mining company and a subsidiary of Hut 8, said its bitcoin treasury has climbed to approximately 5,427 BTC, securing its place as the world’s 19th-largest bitcoin treasury holder. The Miami-based mining and accumulation firm is drawing fresh attention as it continues to build a sizable bitcoin position on its balance sheet.

Treasury Growth Pushes Holdings Above 5,400 BTC

In a Monday post on X, the company said its bitcoin reserves had moved above the 5,000 BTC mark. American Bitcoin also stated that it delivered a BTC Yield of around 105.0% from its Nasdaq debut on Sept. 3, 2025 through Jan. 2, 2026. The update underscores the pace at which the company has expanded its bitcoin holdings since going public.

Shares Outperform Many Public Mining Peers

According to the report, Nasdaq-listed American Bitcoin (ABTC) has outperformed much of its peer group, with its mNAV still trading at a premium. Among 34 publicly traded mining firms, ABTC posted the third-strongest gain on Monday, trailing only Soluna Holdings and Argo Blockchain.

As of midday Eastern time on Jan. 5, 2026, ABTC was up 13.33% on the day. Over the past five days, the stock had gained more than 19%. Still, the 30-day picture remained softer, with shares down a little over 9% since Dec. 5, 2025, highlighting that recent strength came after a period of weakness.

More BTC Needed to Climb the Rankings

American Bitcoin currently ranks 19th among bitcoin treasury firms, sitting ahead of KindlyMD but still behind Next Technology Holdings. Next Technology holds about 5,833 BTC, which means American Bitcoin would need roughly 407 additional BTC to move past it.

One place higher, Galaxy Digital Holdings holds around 6,894 BTC. To overtake that level, American Bitcoin would need about 1,467 more BTC. For now, the company has reached a scale large enough to matter in treasury rankings while still leaving clear room for further upward movement if accumulation continues.

Overall, the latest disclosure strengthens American Bitcoin’s profile among listed bitcoin-focused companies. Its treasury expansion, recent stock outperformance, and visible path toward higher-ranked holders suggest it will remain a company to watch if additional bitcoin flows into its treasury.
