Crypto analyst Dan Gambardello is closely watching four altcoins—Ethereum (ETH), Cardano (ADA), SUI, and DOG (a meme coin on Bitcoin). He says these assets are sitting at oversold levels he hasn’t seen since previous cycle bottoms. “I’m not saying the bottom is in. I don’t play that game anymore. I’ve done it and been wrong,” he said. “However, every cycle so far, these same indicators have basically been the bottom.”
Ethereum: Fractal Mirroring November 2024
Ethereum’s daily chart is forming a structure that closely resembles the setup before its November 2024 breakout: higher highs and higher lows building at the confluence of the 20-day and 50-day moving averages. Gambardello eyes $2,800 as the first resistance, aligning with the 200-day MA. If ETH holds current support and breaks the range, he sees it as the most likely altcoin to lead the next move. A rejection back to the MA confluence remains possible, but the fractal remains intact.
Cardano: MACD Squeeze Nearing Trigger
Cardano’s daily MACD is showing a squeeze nearly identical to the October and November 2024 structure that preceded ADA’s breakout. Gambardello is waiting for the histogram to close green above the zero line with genuine momentum. He notes a fakeout in September 2024 before the real move arrived—so caution is warranted, but the setup is there.
SUI: 85% Decline, Monthly Stoch RSI Oversold for Over a Year
SUI has dropped 85% from its swing high. Its monthly Stochastic RSI has been in oversold territory for more than a year, an unusually extended reading for a faster momentum oscillator. Gambardello says such prolonged oversold conditions are rare. If a reversal emerges, his near-term target is $1.50.
DOG on Bitcoin: 91% Drawdown, Top Meme Coin by Engagement
DOG has fallen 91% from its all-time high, a drawdown comparable to ADA and SUI. Gambardello calls it “the number one meme coin on Bitcoin” and adds that it was the most engaged meme coin on X last week. Despite the brutal decline, its oversold reading matches cycle-bottom extremes.
