Anchorage Digital has partnered with stablecoin protocol Frgmnt to make the infrastructure behind fUSD and sfUSD available to institutional clients. Under the arrangement, clients can hold, mint, stake and redeem protocol-related assets inside Anchorage Digital’s existing custody environment, removing the need to set up a separate custody structure. Frgmnt issues both assets on Base. In its design, fUSD is minted with USDC and deployed into designated onchain lending markets, while users who stake fUSD receive sfUSD to earn rewards generated by the protocol’s strategy. Position and performance data can be tracked through Frgmnt’s analytics tool as well as Dune and DefiLlama. Anchorage Digital operates Anchorage Digital Bank, which it says is the first federally chartered crypto bank in the United States, providing custody, staking, trading and settlement services to institutional clients. Frgmnt also said protocol deposits will open in capped batches, with the next deposit window planned for September. The update was cited by Bitcoin.com News.
