Solana said in a post on X that Anchorpoint, a licensed stablecoin issuer in Hong Kong set up as a joint venture by Standard Chartered, HKT and Animoca Brands, plans to bring its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin HKDAP onto the network. According to Solana, this will be HKDAP’s first collaboration with a public blockchain. The stablecoin is set to support native minting and redemption on Solana, with intended use cases ranging from retail payments to tokenized assets. The two sides have also signed a memorandum of understanding covering a regulated channel for global capital to access Hong Kong dollar payments, products and tokenized assets. Solana Foundation will join Anchorpoint’s Tokenised Money Adoption Programme as a strategic partner, alongside PwC.
