Web3 infrastructure provider Ankr has launched Agent RPC, a new service designed to reduce data-reading costs for onchain agents while expanding what those agents can do. According to the announcement cited by Techub, the service uses the TORPC compression format, which Ankr said can lower token consumption by roughly 50%. In testing, the company also said model accuracy improved by 21 percentage points.
Agent RPC supports cross-chain tools across 29 networks, allowing agents to read onchain data and manage Ankr accounts through a single connection. Ankr said the service’s data plane includes 16 tools for tasks such as checking balances and token holdings. Agents can also review spending and carry out account actions on their own, without human intervention. The rollout positions Agent RPC as an infrastructure product aimed at making autonomous onchain operations cheaper and more capable across multiple networks.
