ARK Invest, led by Cathie Wood, put roughly $19 million to work on Tuesday, adding exposure to a basket of crypto-related stocks as the broader digital asset market remained under pressure.

Tuesday purchases spanned stablecoins, exchanges and fintech

Trading data released by ARK Invest shows the firm bought about $2.41 million of stablecoin issuer Circle (CRCL). It also added exchange-linked names, including roughly $3.46 million of Bullish (BLSH) and $631,000 of Coinbase (COIN).

The buying extended to other companies tied to crypto activity. ARK purchased around $7.81 million of Robinhood (HOOD), invested $3.25 million in Ethereum treasury company Bitmine Immersion Technologies (BMNR), and added $1.8 million of Jack Dorsey’s fintech firm Block (XYZ). The positions were mainly allocated across ARK’s actively managed ETFs, including ARKK, ARKW and ARKF.

Bitcoin weakness weighed on related equities

The purchases came during a period of pronounced market weakness. According to the source material, Bitcoin fell to around $73,000, marking its lowest level since late 2024. Selling pressure spread across crypto-linked equities, hitting trading platforms, blockchain financial services firms and infrastructure companies.

Short-term price swings and uncertainty tied to the macro backdrop have pushed investors toward a more cautious stance. ARK moved the other way. The firm increased positions as valuations pulled back, consistent with its past approach during sharp corrections in technology and crypto markets.

Wood keeps backing the long-term crypto thesis

The source also notes ARK’s long-running view that blockchain technology, crypto assets and DeFi remain in an early stage of development. That stance has shaped a recurring buy-the-dip strategy, with the firm building positions during periods of market stress rather than stepping aside.

ARK Invest’s portfolio changes are often watched as a read on long-horizon capital. The source does not claim the market has found a bottom, but this latest round of buying has put Circle, Coinbase, Robinhood, Bitmine and other crypto-linked stocks back in focus.
