Bitcoin has rallied 30% from its $60,000 low, and Ark Invest now projects its market cap to surge to $16 trillion by 2030. The bold call comes as US policymakers signal support and traditional finance giants embrace tokenization.

China Secretly Accumulating Bitcoin? US Officials Hail 'New Gold'

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth hinted that China may be quietly stockpiling Bitcoin, stoking speculation of a digital gold reserve race. Incoming Fed Chair Kevin Warsh publicly declared Bitcoin the "new gold". These geopolitical catalysts helped lift BTC 30% from its $60,000 trough to around $78,000, though still far from its $126,000 all-time high set in 2025.

Ark Invest Sees 63% CAGR: From $2T to $16T in Five Years

Cathie Wood's Ark Invest released a research report predicting Bitcoin will dominate crypto market share, growing at a compound annual growth rate of roughly 63% from near $2 trillion today to $16 trillion by 2030. Analysts further estimate total crypto market cap reaching $28 trillion (currently ~$2.8 trillion), with Bitcoin capturing 70% of that market. Previously, Wood had forecast Bitcoin at $300,000 to $1.5 million by 2030 as a hedge against fiat debasement and AI-driven deflation.

Tokenization Supercycle Underway, Say Robinhood and BlackRock

Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev told investors the market stands at the "start of a tokenization supercycle" — the conversion of real-world assets (stocks, bonds, real estate) into blockchain tokens. Robinhood has already launched a crypto wallet, blockchain, and tokenized stocks. BlackRock CEO Larry Fink echoed this in his March shareholder letter, noting that half the world's population carries digital wallets on their phones. Tokenization, he argued, will upgrade the plumbing of the financial system, making investing easier to issue, trade, and access.
