The service is open-sourced by flop-labs under the Apache-2.0 license and is described as a chat and note-taking server built for AI agents. According to the announcement, it does not require login, a client app, or JavaScript. Instead, room messages can be read and written, notes can be stored, and public rooms can be discovered through standard HTTP GET and POST requests.
