Artificial Superintelligence Alliance, or ASI Alliance, said it has confirmed an attack targeting the infrastructure tied to the FET token migration and its cross-chain architecture. The group said other tokens within the related infrastructure were also affected and that its team is working with security partners on the response.
According to the statement, the attacker extracted about $1.56 million worth of FET from a token conversion contract. ASI Alliance said its treasury wallets and exchange wallets were not affected. It also said FET held in self-custody wallets or on exchanges remains unaffected, and token holders do not need to take any action at this stage.
The alliance added that a full incident report will be released after the investigation is complete. Foresight News noted that ASI Alliance was formed in 2024 through the merger of Fetch.ai, SingularityNET, and CUDOS. The circulating token still uses Fetch.ai’s original ticker, FET. A previously planned second phase to change the ticker to ASI was put on hold because it would have involved exchange delistings and relistings, affected perpetual contracts, and caused the loss of historical market data.

Ticker change plan had already been put on hold
