Aster, the onchain trading ecosystem backed by YZi Labs, announced an expanded partnership with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), introducing USD1-denominated perpetual markets. The initial pairs cover BTC, ETH, and SOL, with at least 10 additional pairs expected in the coming weeks.
Fee Structure and Margin Integration
The new perpetual contracts feature zero maker fees (0 bps) and a taker fee of just 0.5 bps, representing an 87.5% discount compared to Aster's standard 4 bps taker fee on USDT pairs. USD1 is also accepted as core margin collateral with a ratio equal to USDT, allowing users to open positions directly using USD1.
“The success of Aster Chain depends on the depth of its underlying liquidity,” said Leonard, CEO of Aster. “By integrating USD1 into our core trading engine during this phase, we're building the trading foundation for the Aster Chain launch. Our zero-bps maker fees are designed to encourage participation in USD1 markets as the mainnet goes live.”
WLFI Token Incentives and Tracking Tools
The collaboration introduces a monthly incentive program distributing up to 2.5 million WLFI tokens based on trading activity, with rewards disbursed weekly. Holders of USD1 on Aster may also qualify for additional platform incentives. WLFI retains full rights regarding program interpretation and distribution.
Aster is also launching integrated Points Program entry points across web and mobile, enabling users to monitor their progress and participation in early Aster Chain market activity.
“Perpetual markets are where a significant portion of trading volume lives. Listing USD1 perps pairs with collateral ratios matching USDT means traders can use USD1 like any major stablecoin,” said Zak Folkman, Co-founder and COO of World Liberty Financial. “We set functional parity as the bar, not treating USD1 as a secondary option.”
Partnership Context and Platform Vision
Aster positions itself as a privacy-first onchain trading platform, featuring Hidden Orders to shield user activity. It supports perpetual contracts across crypto, stocks, and commodities, alongside crypto spot trading, all powered by its own Layer 1 blockchain, Aster Chain. WLFI bridges traditional financial infrastructure with blockchain innovation for accessible, transparent, and scalable digital finance solutions.
This USD1 integration reduces Aster's reliance on any single stablecoin and paves the way for Aster Chain's mainnet launch. Further details are available on Aster's official website and X account.
