The crypto market witnessed a three-token showdown this week, with ASTER, HYPE, and BNB each delivering dramatic price action—new highs for ASTER and BNB, and a pullback for HYPE as its unlock calendar approaches. These moves have kept traders glued to their charts, balancing euphoria with caution.

ASTER Skyrockets to Record $2.41

On Wednesday, ASTER, the native token of decentralized perpetual futures exchange Aster, blasted to a new all-time high of $2.41. The token ripped from sub-$1 obscurity into the spotlight, with a 7-day range of $0.562 to $2.41. Liquidity exploded overnight, with aggregation sites flashing multi-billion-dollar daily turnover. On-chain sleuths spotted hundreds of millions in whale-sized buys since launch, providing a solid bid under price.

But can the fire keep burning? The key test is whether these peaks hold or turn into cliffs. Traders should monitor ASTER's daily support and breakout zones, alongside the DEX's share and revenue updates. Incentive drops or fresh listings could pour fuel on the fire, but fading volume after parabolic runs could make pullbacks feel like trapdoors.

HYPE Cools Off as Unlock Clock Ticks

Hyperliquid's HYPE token breached its $59.30 all-time high on Sept. 18, then retreated to the mid-$40s. Currently down 1.6% on the day and more than 15% over the past week, HYPE is 22.6% below its Sept. 24 peak. The overhang of a massive unlock weighs heavily: starting Nov. 29, 237.8 million HYPE will vest linearly over two years—roughly $11.9 billion at $50 each—dripping nearly $500 million monthly into circulation.

Forward-looking, the market will measure how emissions stack up against organic demand. Unlock cadence, treasury maneuvers, and any buyback tweaks will decide whether HYPE sinks or swims. Hyperliquid's dominance in perps gives it muscle, but rivals are circling. A clean reclaim of $50–$52 could recharge momentum, while slipping from the mid-$40s risks another trip to the $43–$45 support zone.

BNB Flexes Above $1K, Eyes on Burn

BNB hit a fresh all-time high at $1,079 on Sept. 21 before easing back, now consolidating around $1,000–$1,030 inside a 7-day range of $949–$1,076. Its relative strength against peers remains bullish. Adding fuel, Franklin Templeton tapped BNB Chain for its Benji tokenization platform, boosting institutional interest.

Looking ahead, BNB burn updates are on the calendar—auto-burn projections and any spike in fee revenue could give BNB another leg up. Still, after tagging new highs, the token may cool off in step with ASTER and HYPE's recent drawdown. Short-term consolidation isn't out of the question, but the ecosystem's breadth keeps it firmly in the spotlight.
