BitMine Immersion Technologies’ $200 million investment in Beast Industries gives the company a meaningful diversification beyond its ether-focused treasury model, according to investment bank B. Riley. The deal, announced Thursday, targets the privately held entertainment and consumer products company associated with YouTube creator MrBeast.
B. Riley said the transaction gives BitMine more optionality outside its core ETH accumulation strategy and presents the firm as a more active capital allocator. That matters because BitMine has been building its balance sheet around accumulating and managing ether rather than operating as a conventional mining company or a pure infrastructure provider. Its stated approach is to treat ETH as a long-term treasury position and seek additional returns through staking and adjacent services, not simple passive holding.
MrBeast audience and DeFi tie-in seen as revenue pathway
In Friday’s report, analyst Fedor Shabalin wrote that the partnership could give BitMine exposure to MrBeast’s audience of more than 450 million. He also said Beast’s planned financial services platform, which is expected to integrate DeFi features, could create monetization channels for BitMine’s MAVAN staking infrastructure. If that buildout moves ahead, the company could generate technical consulting fees and transaction-related revenue.
The report still flagged execution risk. Shabalin pointed to regulatory uncertainty and dependence on Beast Mobile, a financial platform that has not yet started operating. Even with those caveats, he described the investment as a logical extension of BitMine’s existing business strategy and consistent with B. Riley’s view that the stock deserves a valuation premium.
Valuation case still tied to ether treasury and staking outlook
B. Riley said BitMine is currently trading at roughly 1.0x modified net asset value, or mNAV. The bank argued that expected revenue from MAVAN staking, combined with the Beast Industries partnership, supports additional upside in the valuation case. It reiterated a buy rating on the stock and kept its $47 price target unchanged.
BitMine shares were trading lower at $30.77 in early Friday trading. For now, the market’s focus remains on whether the company can translate its ether treasury strategy into recurring staking income and whether this cross-sector partnership can turn audience reach and DeFi-linked infrastructure into actual revenue.
