The Bank of Russia has added the first group of licensed digital-asset service providers to its official regulatory register, including five digital depositories and four digital currency exchange operators. According to the announcement, these firms were allowed to enter the financial market under transitional provisions tied to the Law on Digital Currency and Digital Rights, which took effect on Sept. 1. The newly registered digital depositories are allowed to provide services such as registration and transfer of digital currency and digital rights. Approved exchange operators, by contrast, may buy and sell digital currency over the counter in their own name and with their own funds. From the moment they are entered into the register, all of these institutions must comply with rules governing digital-asset trading and bookkeeping. They are also required to fully meet the new regulatory standards by Sept. 1, 2027. The item was published by Techub News and cited Wu Shuo Blockchain as the source.
