DeFi researcher Ignas said on X that Bankless co-founder David Hoffman rotated out of ETH and into a basket of tokens that, in his view, have since outperformed ETH. He singled out LIT and ZEC as among the strongest gainers, and added that NEAR also posted solid performance, while VVV was the only position that lagged the broader market. Ignas framed the move as one made during a period of heavy FUD, noting that it came close to what he described as ETH’s bottom. He added that for more aggressive crypto investors, the goal is to beat both BTC and ETH. Earlier reports said Hoffman announced in June this year that he had fully exited ETH and bought VVV, NEAR, ZEC, HYPE, and LIT. The remarks were carried by Odaily.
Bankless co-founder David Hoffman’s rotation out of ETH has seen ZEC and LIT outperform ETH, according to comments posted on X by DeFi researcher Ignas and cited by Odaily.
Ignas said Hoffman sold his ETH and reallocated into several of the best-performing tokens, naming LIT and ZEC as examples. He added that NEAR also performed well, while VVV was the only one that underperformed the broader market.
In the post, Ignas wrote: "After David Hoffman, the founder of Bankless, sold his ETH, he rotated into some of the biggest gainers, such as LIT and ZEC. NEAR also did well, and only VVV underperformed the broader market. Even though the market was filled with FUD at the time, and it was also very close to ETH’s bottom, the goal for aggressive crypto investors is always to outperform BTC and ETH. Well done, David."
Earlier reports said Hoffman announced in June this year that he had fully exited ETH and bought VVV, NEAR, ZEC, HYPE, and LIT.
