DeFi researcher Ignas said on X on Sept. 7 that Bankless co-founder David Hoffman’s portfolio rotation after exiting ETH has so far produced stronger relative performance in several names, with LIT and ZEC leading the group and NEAR also showing solid results. According to Ignas, VVV was the only token in that basket that lagged the broader market.
The comment refers to Hoffman’s earlier portfolio shift announced in June this year, when he said he had fully sold his ETH position and bought VVV, NEAR, ZEC, HYPE and LIT instead. Ignas wrote that the move came at a time when the market was filled with FUD and ETH was close to a bottom, but argued that the goal for an aggressive crypto investor is to outperform BTC and ETH. He ended the post by praising Hoffman’s call.

Earlier reports said Hoffman announced in June this year that he had fully exited ETH and bought VVV, NEAR, ZEC, HYPE and LIT.
