Beldex, a blockchain project built around privacy, has rolled out the Beldex Grants Program with a dedicated $1 million fund backing privacy-preserving applications, tools, and infrastructure.

The program is set up as a long-running effort with flexible grant cycles. Developers anywhere in the world can apply based on the real progress of their projects, instead of trying to hit a rigid deadline.
Beldex unveils the program at Korea Blockchain Week 2026
Beldex formally introduced the Grants Program during Korea Blockchain Week 2026 in Seoul. It is open to developers and teams worldwide, with attention on privacy-preserving applications, developer tools, and infrastructure.
Beldex said it has spent years building its own privacy infrastructure and products, including BChat, BelNet, BNS, and Beldex Browser. Now it is pushing into the next phase. That means opening this infrastructure to outside builders and inviting a wider mix of privacy applications, integrations, and developer tooling.
Cris Blanco, chief strategy officer at Beldex, said: "Over the past few years, Beldex has kept building privacy infrastructure and related products. In the next stage, we want to open up these core capabilities to more developers, so growth across the ecosystem is no longer limited to the products Beldex itself can build. We do not believe the most important privacy applications of the future will all come from within a single organization. The purpose of the Beldex Grants Program is to give developers infrastructure, technical support, and funding, helping them move ideas from the concept stage to real product deployment." He said Beldex wants to open its core capabilities to more developers so the ecosystem is not boxed in by what the company alone can build, and that the grants program is designed to provide infrastructure, technical support, and funding to help turn ideas into shipped products.
No preset allocation for individual grants
Beldex said the $1 million pool will not be split into fixed buckets ahead of time. Each grant will be sized case by case, based on the scope of the application and the complexity of the deliverables involved.
The program is taking applications across three main categories:
- Privacy-Preserving Applications: privacy applications for consumers and enterprises, including but not limited to private payments, identity management, communications, network connectivity, and other privacy-centered use cases.
- Infrastructure, Research & Tooling: core protocol contributions, developer tools, SDK enhancements, privacy middleware, and research tied to advancing the Beldex privacy technology stack.
- Integration & Interoperability: system integrations, wallet extensions, and interoperability layers that connect external applications and ecosystems with Beldex infrastructure.
Five review criteria and milestone-based payouts
Applications will be judged on five separate criteria: innovation in privacy architecture, technical feasibility, possible ecosystem impact, compliance with security standards, and whether project milestones are clearly defined.
And Beldex does not plan to send grant money in one shot. To make better use of capital and keep work on track, the company said funds will be released in stages after specific deliverables have been checked and confirmed.
Depending on the kind of project, that milestone-based setup may include these phases:
- Prototype: completing a working proof-of-concept and showing the project’s core privacy-preserving functionality.
- Testing: deployment, integration, and testing in a suitable environment, including testing on the Beldex testnet where relevant.
- Mainnet / Production: mainnet launch or production deployment where applicable.
Afanddy Bin Hushni, chairman of Beldex, said: "We do not want to hand out funding all at once and then just hope a project gets finished. Our grants will be tied to clear, verifiable milestones, so a project’s ambition matches its actual ability to deliver. Our goal is simple: help strong teams turn promising ideas into technology products that users can actually use." He said Beldex does not want to release funding in a single payment and simply hope projects get completed, adding that grants will be tied to clear, verifiable milestones so ambition lines up with delivery.
Selected teams will receive technical integration support
The program will also offer direct technical integration support to selected projects. Teams that win grants will get access to Beldex software development kits, detailed wallet extension integration guides, and priority technical support from maintainers of core repositories through GitHub.
Beldex said this support is meant to cut the engineering load that comes with integrating privacy technologies such as zero-knowledge proofs, or ZKPs, and ring signatures into custom applications.
Applications will go through Beldex’s official application portal, which is set to go live alongside the program’s launch during Korea Blockchain Week. Not a hackathon. Not a fixed cohort setup either. The Beldex Grants Program uses a rolling application model, so teams can apply when their projects are actually ready for funding rather than racing toward a shared deadline.
As long as grant money is still available and applicants keep meeting the program’s standards for technical capability and delivery, Beldex said it will continue issuing grants.
About Beldex
Beldex describes itself as a decentralized ecosystem focused on privacy and built to create privacy-first internet infrastructure.
The project combines blockchain technology with privacy-preserving cryptography to protect user data, transaction information, communications, and online activity. Its products include BChat, a private messaging app; BelNet, a decentralized network routing service; Beldex Browser for privacy-focused web access; and BNS, a decentralized naming system for registering and managing blockchain-based names.
On the Beldex network, users can stake tokens to help maintain network security. The network operates on a masternode structure and a Proof-of-Stake, or PoS, consensus model. The ecosystem uses BDX as its privacy digital currency and as a core asset inside the network.
Beldex also said it is still developing and exploring blockchain technologies including zero-knowledge systems, post-quantum cryptography, privacy tokens, a privacy-first EVM, and other advanced privacy-enhancing technologies aimed at creating a more secure digital environment with greater user control.
