Beldex says BDX has moved deeper into everyday payments, with the token now spendable at more than 50 million merchants worldwide through AEON Pay. The project also said its Alchemy Pay integration lets users in 170-plus countries buy $BDX and BDX-BSC (BEP20) using local currencies. That shifts the story from privacy infrastructure alone to actual payment usage.
Privacy remains central to the Beldex pitch
The article argues that blockchain transparency comes with trade-offs. Public wallet balances, transaction histories, and payment flows can expose sensitive information for individuals, companies, and developers. Beldex frames privacy as a requirement for broader Web3 usage rather than an optional add-on.
It points to the Obscura hardfork and the integration of Bulletproofs++ as key steps in making private payments more practical. According to the project, proof sizes were reduced by about 38%, which improves the speed and efficiency of private transactions and makes them more workable for commercial use.
Merchant acceptance expands alongside fiat on-ramps
On the merchant side, Beldex said it partnered with ShopinBit, allowing BDX to be used for private cryptocurrency payments in day-to-day commerce. Its collaboration with AEON Pay extends that reach to a much larger global merchant network, positioning BDX as an option for retail spending rather than a token limited to ecosystem transfers.
Alchemy Pay adds another layer. Through that integration, users can purchase BDX with Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and bank transfers. For users, that creates a simpler entry point. For Beldex, it fills in the fiat-to-crypto side of its payments stack.
The project also said BDX has been added to BTCPay Server, giving merchants a decentralized payment setup built around privacy. Through its HPX partnership, BDX holders can access features such as crypto cards. Beldex said it also plans to launch an easier-to-deploy point-of-sale panel for in-store acceptance, designed to conceal sender and recipient identities, transaction amounts, wallet balances, and payment history.
Privacy work extends beyond payments
Beldex ties these payment efforts to broader infrastructure upgrades. Its Dandelion++ network layer is designed to hide transaction sources by masking the block producer’s IP address, making it harder to trace the origin of a transaction. The project also said it will keep building privacy applications including BChat, BelNet, Beldex Browser, and Beldex Wallet as it heads toward 2026.
On digital identity, Beldex Name Service has recorded 5,538 sales so far. The project is developing a marketplace where users can buy and sell human-readable identifiers intended to work across Beldex platforms.
The article also outlines research into fully homomorphic encryption, post-quantum cryptography, VRF-based consensus, and zero-knowledge age verification. Current prototypes for age verification use Pedersen commitments and Schnorr-style proofs, while the research team is also exploring Bulletproof-based range proofs for better efficiency.
