Binance Alpha went live with Arcium (ARX) at 18:00 UTC+8 on June 22. The airdrop page opened for eligible users. Holders must have at least 225 Binance Alpha Points to unlock the claim button. Qualifying addresses receive 172 ARX each, and the claim deducts 15 Alpha Points from their balance. The reward pool operates on a first-come-first-served basis. If the pool is not fully claimed, the point threshold drops by five points every five minutes. Users have 24 hours to confirm the claim; otherwise, it is forfeited.
What Arcium Network Is: Solana-Based Confidential Computing
Arcium is a confidential computing network built on Solana. Developers can run private computations on encrypted data without exposing raw inputs. This matters for several use cases: confidential AI applications that need to protect sensitive inputs, private financial transactions on Solana, and secure data sharing between enterprises without leaking details. The platform uses multiparty computation (MPC), avoiding slow hardware-dependent setups and delivering faster performance than most competing privacy networks.
ARX Tokenomics: 1B Fixed Supply, Four-and-a-Half-Year Unlock
ARX has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens, with no inflation. Node operators stake ARX as collateral to offer compute power, while holders vote across two governance tracks. Computation fees are paid in SOL, not ARX: 70% to node operators, 20% to recovery nodes, and 10% to the treasury. At launch, 20.88% (about 208.8 million tokens) unlocked, with the remaining 79.12% locked behind a 12-month cliff. Full supply unlocks approximately 4.5 years after TGE. Note that delegating ARX carries slashing risk — it is not a principal-protected deposit.
Arcium raised $14 million in total funding. A Coinlist round priced at $0.20 per token sold 20 million ARX for $4 million (March 24 to April 1, 2025). An angel round on March 27, 2025 contributed $1 million, backers including Michael Heinrich, Joe McCann, Jordi Alexander, and Stepan Simkin among others. Separately, users can swap 2 Alpha Points for roughly 30 ARX from a 1.5 million token pool, capped at 50,000 participants, with possible lock-up terms.
Community Reactions: Mixed Feelings About the Airdrop
Reactions across crypto social media are divided. Some users are excited to get early access to a Binance new listing tied to a real working product. Others raise concerns: high Alpha Points thresholds exclude smaller retail holders; scam warnings have appeared for fake ARX tokens circulating online; and many request simpler claiming steps. Arcium also runs its own separate Retroactive Token Grant (RTG) portal, unrelated to Binance Alpha Points.
Competitive Landscape: Privacy Narrative Gains Heat
Arcium enters a field with rivals like Secret Network, Phala Network, Zama, and Nillion, each using different approaches — TEE hardware, pure FHE, or modular MPC. Arcium's edge lies in parallel processing speed combined with native Solana composability, which hardware-dependent or single-chain competitors struggle to match. Launching first on Binance gives Arcium immediate exposure to a massive trading audience right at TGE, a privilege few privacy projects have enjoyed. With confidential AI and privacy DeFi both gaining attention, Arcium's listing timing aligns with a heating narrative window.
