Binance's official interface reveals that the platform has opened over 8,000 US stocks and ETFs to non-US users, supporting purchases with USDC, USDT, and BNB at a minimum of $5 per trade with zero-commission fractional shares. Trade execution is handled by Nest Trading, with custody and dividends managed by New York-based Alpaca. Additionally, Binance plans to launch bStocks on the BNB Chain, allowing tokenization of traditional equities for DeFi use.

Over 8,000 US Stocks and ETFs Accessible via Crypto

According to information published on Binance's official interface, the exchange has fully opened trading for more than 8,000 US-listed stocks and ETFs to non-US users. Investors can now purchase these securities directly using crypto assets such as USDC, USDT, and BNB, without needing to convert to fiat first. The minimum investment amount is set at just $5, and the platform fully supports zero-commission fractional share trading. This fractional model enables users with limited capital to buy small portions of high-priced stocks, dramatically lowering the barrier for retail participation. It is important to note that the service is currently available only to non-US investors; US residents are excluded.

On the fee side, Binance explicitly states that it does not charge stock trading commissions. However, during actual order execution, users may encounter small platform fees or bid-ask spreads. Cash dividends earned from held stocks are automatically credited to user accounts without the need for manual claims. Trading hours are aligned with US markets and offer 24-hour coverage from Monday to Friday, allowing users across Asian, European, and American time zones to trade at their convenience, greatly enhancing accessibility.

To ensure regulatory compliance and asset safety, Binance has opted for a partnership architecture rather than building an in-house brokerage. Order execution is carried out by broker Nest Trading, while critical functions including customer asset custody, brokerage account management, and dividend distribution are fully delegated to Alpaca, a licensed financial services firm based in New York. This structure allows Binance to offer US stock trading backed by professional institutional infrastructure without holding a securities license itself, with user assets segregated from the platform's operational funds.

bStocks: Tokenized Equities Unleash DeFi Potential

Beyond basic stock trading, Binance has also revealed a more forward-looking roadmap with "bStocks", a tokenized stock initiative built on the BNB Chain. At its core, bStocks will allow users to convert the US stocks held in their accounts into tokenized assets that can circulate freely on the blockchain. Unlike traditional equities confined to exchange-internal ledgers, these tokenized assets enable instantaneous on-chain settlement with transparent and immutable transaction records.

Once on-chain, bStock tokens can seamlessly integrate with various decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols. For example, users could collateralize bStocks in lending markets to borrow stablecoins for other investments without selling the underlying shares, thereby retaining upside potential while gaining liquidity. Additionally, tokenized stocks can be deposited into liquidity pools on decentralized exchanges to earn a share of trading fees and project incentives. Through this design, Binance aims to bridge the value gap between traditional equities and the crypto ecosystem, transforming stocks from passive holdings into flexible, composable building blocks within the DeFi Lego system.
