Bitcoin is once again testing the psychological $100K level. Currently trading near $96,000 with a market cap above $1.8 trillion, the largest cryptocurrency sets the tone for the entire cycle. However, analysts point to a heavy resistance zone between $98,000 and $102,000. A breakout could propel BTC to $115K–$135K—a 1.2x–1.4x move from current levels. Strong for a large cap, but far less elastic than smaller assets in early stages.
This ceiling has driven investors to pair BTC exposure with cheaper altcoins offering higher upside. Mutuum Finance (MUTM), a decentralized lending protocol, has emerged as a top pick. The platform allows suppliers to deposit assets into smart contracts and earn yield, while borrowers post collateral to access liquidity without selling long-term holdings. Two lending environments form its core:
P2C Pooled Market and P2P Isolated Market
In the P2C (pool-to-contract) market, depositors supply assets and receive mtTokens. These tokens reflect both the initial deposit and accrued interest. For example, depositing $10,000 of ETH at 4% APY yields mtTokens that track the growing position until withdrawal. This eliminates the need to manage individual loan matches.
The P2P (peer-to-peer) market supports isolated trading pairs with predefined LTV (loan-to-value) rules. If the LTV limit is 70%, a user posting $5,000 in collateral can borrow up to $3,500. Liquidators step in during volatile conditions to repay part of the loan and purchase collateral at a discount, keeping the protocol solvent.
Presale Tops $19.7M, Token at $0.04
Mutuum Finance is far from an empty narrative. The presale has raised over $19.7 million and attracted more than 18,800 early holders. The token is currently priced at $0.04 in Phase 7, with a confirmed launch price of $0.06—a ~300% gain from Phase 1. Out of a total supply of 4 billion tokens, 45.5% (1.82 billion) is allocated to the presale, of which over 840 million have been sold. Card payments are supported, and a 24-hour leaderboard rewards the top contributor with $500 in MUTM daily, broadening participation beyond crypto-native users.
V1 is preparing for testnet deployment ahead of mainnet activation. Once live, stablecoins are expected to be the primary borrowing asset—borrowers favor stable units for predictable repayment costs during turbulent markets, and stablecoin demand typically rises with trading activity. Analysts tracking the project estimate that if adoption unfolds as expected, MUTM could reach $0.20–$0.24 by 2027, representing a more than 500% increase from the current presale price. While Bitcoin leads on macro scale, early altcoins like MUTM may capture the higher upside portion of the cycle.
