Bitcoin Asia 2026 has released its first confirmed speaker lineup for its two-day event scheduled for August 27-28, 2026 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The summit is organized by BTC Inc. and title-sponsored by Metaplanet. According to the announcement, the event is expected to draw more than 10,000 attendees from over 125 countries.
Balaji Srinivasan named as keynote speaker
The headline name in the first batch is Balaji Srinivasan, founder of Network School and author of The Network State. The organizer described him as a leading voice at the intersection of Bitcoin, technology, and theories of network sovereignty. His addition places the event’s opening lineup squarely around themes tied to institutional capital, legislation, macro finance, and Bitcoin infrastructure.
In the press release, BTC Inc. CEO Brandon Green said the company wants to bring together Bitcoin markets, industry participants, and communities from East and West, while continuing to build through a bear market and examine how Bitcoin can reshape the world.
Speaker roster spans lawmakers, exchange executives and treasury operators
Other confirmed speakers include Hong Kong lawmaker Johnny Ng; Pakistan Minister of State and Pakistan Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority chairman Bilal Bin Saqib; Grenada’s ambassador to the WTO and former permanent representative, TRON founder and WBTC and HTX adviser Justin Sun; Bitget CEO Gracy Chen; Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich; Nakamoto Inc. CEO David Bailey; Acid Capitalist founder Hugh Hendry; Strive chairman and CEO Matt Cole; Moon Inc CEO and co-founder John Riggins; Web3Labs CEO Caspar Wong; and Diamond Hands co-founder Koji Higashi.
The release identifies Metaplanet as Japan’s largest corporate Bitcoin holder. Strive is described as a public Bitcoin treasury and structured finance company. Taken together, the initial lineup points to a program centered on corporate treasury strategy, policy dialogue, and Bitcoin-native infrastructure.
Agenda centers on institutional adoption and Asian regulation
Organizers said this year’s program will focus on the meeting point between Eastern and Western Bitcoin ecosystems at a time of institutional adoption. Topics listed in the announcement include macro monetary policy, corporate treasury management, Bitcoin infrastructure, and regulatory conditions across Asian jurisdictions.
The summit will include main stage sessions, investor-focused programming, policy discussions, and open-source developer conversations across the two-day schedule. More speakers are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Release also outlines forward-looking statement risks
The announcement notes that BTC Inc. is a subsidiary of Nakamoto Inc. (Nasdaq: NAKA). It also includes a forward-looking statement section that lists possible risks tied to Bitcoin price volatility, changes in audience reach, delays or underperformance in new products and services, shifts in digital asset regulation, dependence on third-party distribution platforms, reliance on key personnel, and integration risks following BTC Inc.’s acquisition into Nakamoto Inc.’s structure in February 2026.
The organizer said ticketing and event details are available at asia.b.tc, while press pass applications can be submitted through the designated media contact page.
