Analyst Crypto Patel warns Bitcoin could drop to $50K after forming a lower high near $83K and sweeping liquidity. Support at $59,809 is critical; a daily close above $83K may target $89K-$92K first.

Bitcoin slipped after hitting $83,000, forming a lower high that has alarmed technical analyst Crypto Patel. He warned that if critical support fails, the price could plunge to $50,000. The move followed a liquidity sweep above a fair value gap and the top of an ascending channel, after which price closed back inside the channel — a weakening structure, according to Patel.

Liquidity Sweep Sets Up Bearish Order Block

Patel noted that Bitcoin swept liquidity near $83,000 before forming a lower high within a bearish order block. He described this as distribution conditions, where buyers failed to sustain momentum after the sweep. The higher-timeframe bias remains bearish as long as BTC stays below $97,900, the level that would invalidate the bearish structure.

Two Scenarios: Break Above $83K or Breakdown Below $59.8K

Patel outlined two possible paths. A daily close above $83,000 could extend the rally toward $89,000–$92,000, the next major supply zone before $97,900. However, continued rejection risks a channel breakdown, targeting liquidity below $59,809 with a downside extension to $50,000.

The $59,809 level is pivotal. If lost, Bitcoin would face a correction of over 50% from its recent highs, effectively erasing most of 2024's gains. For now, the price remains above that mark.

Price Bounces to $76.5K, But Momentum Fading

After dropping into the $74,000–$75,000 support zone, Bitcoin rebounded sharply, climbing back above $76,500. The RSI recovered from oversold territory (20–30) to 58.50, while the MACD crossed above its signal line with positive histogram bars. However, the histogram strength has started to wane, suggesting upside momentum may be slowing near current levels.

Immediate resistance stands at $77,000, followed by $78,000. On the downside, $75,000 remains the key short-term support. A break below it would open the door to lower liquidity zones.

Bitcoin is at a decision point: bulls must defend $75K and push through $83K to avoid a deeper slide toward $50K.
