German crypto trading platform bitcoin.de has temporarily suspended crypto trading after its MiCAR authorization process ran longer than expected, according to its parent company Bitcoin Group SE. The company said the platform, operated by wholly owned subsidiary futurum bank AG, has been unable to offer crypto trading since late June.
Bitcoin Group SE also said a new version of the website and trading app has already completed development and testing. The planned rollout includes support for more than 100 crypto assets, along with recurring investment and staking features. Even so, the company said the timing for a trading restart still depends on when the MiCAR authorization is completed, and no specific date can be given at this stage.
For its financial results, the company reported revenue of 1.59 million euros for the first half of 2026, with EBITDA at negative 3.25 million euros.
