Major cryptocurrencies pulled back with BTC down 1.7%, ETH 2.5% and XRP 1.6%. Trading volumes remained strong while small-cap tokens like TRILLIONS skyrocketed over 6,300%, highlighting a divergent market.

Bitcoin traded at $68,779.90 on Wednesday, slipping 1.7% over 24 hours, yet daily volume stayed above $44.7 billion, indicating persistent participation. Ethereum followed with a 2.5% decline to $2,065.86, its volume exceeding $17.1 billion. XRP fell 1.6% to $1.36 on $2.53 billion in trades.

BNB edged down 1.0% to $628.38, while Solana saw a steeper 3.5% drop to $85.99. The broader pullback across high-cap coins suggests short-term caution, but liquidity remains robust.

Pressure Builds Despite Strong Volumes

Despite price declines, trading activity held firm, signaling sustained interest from both retail and institutional players. Bitcoin's market cap held above $1.37 trillion, and Ethereum's surpassed $249 billion, underlining their dominant positions. XRP's market cap exceeded $83 billion, with Solana and BNB supported by active network usage. The retreat appears more like a short-term correction than structural weakness.

TRON remained flat at $0.3148, while Dogecoin slipped 0.6% to $0.09201, showing relative stability amid the sell-off.

Small-Cap Tokens Rally Hard

Contrasting with the majors, small-cap tokens exploded higher. Trillions (TRILLIONS) surged over 6,300% to lead all gainers. Stargate Finance (STG) jumped 43.9%, and Kyber Network Crystal (KNC) added 31.6%. SAFEbit, Tradoor, and Particle Network also posted double-digit gains on rising volumes.

This rotation into smaller assets reflects traders hunting for high short-term returns as large caps falter. The market now shows a clear split: blue-chip coins under pressure, while speculative capital chases micro-cap tokens.
