U.S. spot crypto exchange-traded funds (ETFs) kicked off the first full trading week of 2026 with a powerful surge of capital. Bitcoin ETFs logged a net inflow of $697.25 million on Monday, Jan.5, marking the strongest single-day performance since Oct.7, 2025. The rally was broad-based, with nine funds recording positive flows, and the momentum extended to ether, XRP, and solana ETFs, delivering an all-green session across major digital asset funds.

Bitcoin ETFs: BlackRock and Fidelity Lead the Charge

The bitcoin ETF inflow was led by BlackRock's IBIT, which attracted $372.47 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC at $191.19 million. Together, the two funds accounted for over 80% of the day's total. Other contributors included Bitwise BITB ($38.45 million), Ark & 21Shares ARKB ($36.03 million), Grayscale Bitcoin Mini Trust ($17.92 million), along with Invesco BTCO, Franklin EZBC, Valkyrie BRRR, and VanEck HODL. Total trading volume reached $5.86 billion, pushing aggregate net assets to $123.52 billion.

Ether ETFs Rebound with $168M Inflow

Ether ETFs posted a convincing rebound, recording $168.13 million in net inflows. BlackRock's ETHA dominated with $102.90 million, reflecting renewed institutional appetite. Grayscale's Ether Mini Trust added $22.34 million, while Fidelity FETH and Bitwise ETHW chipped in $21.83 million and $19.73 million respectively. Total value traded hit $2.24 billion, lifting ether ETF net assets to $19.95 billion.

XRP and Solana ETFs Extend Post-Launch Momentum

XRP ETFs attracted $46.10 million, with Bitwise XRP leading at $16.61 million, followed by Franklin XRPZ ($12.59 million) and Grayscale GXRP ($9.89 million). 21Shares TOXR added $7.01 million, bringing total net assets to $1.65 billion on $72.23 million in volume.

Solana ETFs also impressed, drawing $16.24 million. Bitwise BSOL dominated with $12.47 million, while Fidelity FSOL, Grayscale GSOL, and VanEck VSOL contributed smaller amounts. Solana ETF net assets crossed $1 billion for the first time, reaching $1.09 billion, with $43.28 million traded.

Market Signals: Renewed Risk Appetite

Monday's flows painted a clear picture of renewed risk appetite across the crypto ETF space. Bitcoin reasserted its leadership, ether stabilized, and both XRP and solana continued to gain traction, delivering one of the strongest all-around sessions of the young year. The broad-based inflows suggest growing confidence among institutional and retail investors as 2026 begins.
