Evernorth says XRP ETFs kept attracting capital while Bitcoin ETFs saw $2.4 billion in May outflows, arguing that investors are increasingly treating XRP as a settlement and tokenization infrastructure asset.

Bitcoin ETFs posted $2.4 billion in net outflows in May, while XRP ETFs brought in $132 million over the same stretch. Evernorth, which describes itself as the world’s largest XRP treasury company, said the gap reflects a shift in how investors are classifying the two assets.

Its argument is simple. XRP is being assessed less as a token tied only to broad crypto sentiment and more as a financial infrastructure asset. In Evernorth’s view, that change has helped XRP-linked funds keep attracting capital even while Bitcoin products lose it.

ETF flow data points to different investor frameworks

According to Evernorth, the May flow numbers show that investors are not treating all digital asset funds the same way. Bitcoin remains the largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, but XRP investment products continued to gather money while capital left Bitcoin ETFs.

The company also said cumulative inflows into XRP ETFs have now topped $1.4 billion since launch. For Evernorth, that suggests some investors are using a separate framework for XRP rather than placing it in the same bucket as Bitcoin exposure.

Evernorth ties XRP demand to settlement and tokenization

Evernorth said XRP is being positioned as a settlement rail, a real-world asset tokenization layer, and an on-chain infrastructure network. That gives it a different adoption case from Bitcoin, which the company said is more closely linked to macro trends and store-of-value demand.

By contrast, Evernorth connects XRP’s investment case to payment efficiency, tokenized finance, and blockchain infrastructure. The distinction matters. It implies that flows into XRP products may be driven by utility-focused expectations rather than the broader direction of the crypto market alone.

Real-world asset tokenization remains central to the thesis

The company also linked XRP ETF inflows to expanding interest in real-world asset tokenization. As institutional attention shifts toward networks that can support financial activity on-chain, Evernorth said XRP is benefiting from that trend.

Its conclusion is that investors are increasingly viewing XRP as part of financial infrastructure. Bitcoin ETF flows, in this reading, remain more sensitive to wider market conditions, which helps explain why the two products have moved in sharply different directions.
