The crypto market split in two over the past 24 hours. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, and other large-cap tokens traded lower, while a cluster of smaller assets posted sharp gains, showing a clear divergence in short-term positioning.

Large-cap cryptocurrencies retreat on broad market pullback

Bitcoin fell 2.1% to around $76,473, with 24-hour trading volume staying high at $77.1 billion. Its market capitalization remained near $1.52 trillion, keeping its dominant place in the market. Ethereum saw a steeper move, dropping 7.1% to about $2,226, while daily volume reached $54.0 billion. The decline came with active trading rather than a collapse in liquidity.

XRP lost 4.2% to trade at $1.58, backed by $5.14 billion in volume. BNB slipped 3.2% to $749.79, while keeping market capitalization above $102.0 billion. Solana fell 3.6% to $100.81. TRON eased 1.3%, Dogecoin dropped 1.5%, and Cardano declined 3.0%. The selling was broad, but the moves remained measured across the major names.

Smaller tokens jump as traders rotate into faster-moving assets

While large caps pulled back, several smaller cryptocurrencies rallied strongly in the same window. Kinesis Silver KAG led the group with a 43.9% gain, rising to nearly $130.00. Its trading volume reached $3.53 million. PYTHIA climbed 22.4% to around $0.04425 on volume of $541,059, and UCHAIN UCN advanced 20.5% to about $731.95 with $5.58 million in trading activity.

Ultima ULTIMA added 16.9% to trade near $5,672.82, with daily volume approaching $18.9 million. Stable STABLE rose 16.8% to about $0.02662, supported by $57.4 million in volume. QuarkChain QKC gained 16.4% to $0.004113, and Constellation DAG climbed 15.2% to around $0.0137.

High trading activity points to capital rotation, not a market freeze

The contrast between falling large caps and rallying smaller tokens suggests traders were cutting short-term exposure in major assets while chasing momentum in selected smaller names. Trading volume stayed strong across the market, which indicates active participation during the pullback.

Over the same 24-hour period, Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, BNB, Solana, TRON, Dogecoin, and Cardano all posted losses. At the same time, KAG, PYTHIA, and UCN led a list of smaller cryptocurrencies that recorded double-digit gains, highlighting a sharp split in market behavior.
