The crypto market experienced a sharp divergence on July 23. Bitcoin (BTC) traded at $67,145.27, down 0.9% in 24 hours. Ethereum (ETH) slipped 0.8% to $1,983.55. XRP recorded the steepest drop among majors, falling 3.7% to $1.42, though its market cap remained substantial at $86.7 billion. Binance Coin (BNB) dipped 0.5% to $612.32, Solana (SOL) fell 2.8% to $82.40, while Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and WhiteBIT Coin (WBT) each posted minor declines of 0.6% and 1.1% respectively.

Major Coins Under Pressure: Bitcoin Below $67,200

Nearly all top-10 cryptocurrencies turned red in the past day. Bitcoin briefly tested lower levels before paring some losses, but selling pressure remained. Ethereum failed to hold the $2,000 psychological support. BNB and SOL also saw capital outflows. Despite XRP's larger percentage drop, on-chain data showed no panic selling. Some traders appeared to be rotating out of large-cap assets into short-term gainers.

Altcoins Buck the Trend: Greyhunt Soars 46.8%, Espresso Up 28.9%

While majors bled, a handful of altcoins posted explosive gains. Greyhunt (HUNT) led the charge with a 46.8% surge to $2.81, backed by $50.8 million in volume. Espresso (ESP) rallied 28.9% to $0.07751 on $102.6 million turnover. Orbs (ORBS) added 22.3% to $0.009768.

Other double-digit gainers included Prom (PROM) up 20.7% to $1.55, Power Protocol (POWER) up 16.1% to $0.3536, Singularry (SINGULARRY) up 14.9%, and The9bit (9BIT) up 14.3%.

Most of these tokens have small market caps and limited liquidity. Exchange data indicated that buying activity for Greyhunt and Espresso concentrated during Asian trading hours, with many new wallet addresses participating rather than large institutional orders. Market participants are watching whether these outlier moves can sustain into the next session.
