Major cryptocurrencies moved lower over the past 24 hours as selling pressure spread across the broader digital asset market. Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, Solana, and Dogecoin all posted losses. Trading activity, however, stayed elevated, pointing to active repositioning even as prices weakened.
Bitcoin Keeps the Largest Market Cap Despite the Pullback
Bitcoin (BTC) fell 1.1% to $62,734.50, with $30.36 billion in 24-hour trading volume. Its market capitalization stood at $1.26 trillion, allowing it to retain the top position in the crypto market despite the decline.
Ethereum (ETH) dropped 1.5% to $1,752.12 and recorded $9.84 billion in daily volume. Its market capitalization remained at $211.52 billion. Among large-cap altcoins, Ethereum still held a clear lead by size, even as short-term trading stayed under pressure.
BNB traded at $566.61, down 2.3%, with $582.32 million in daily volume and a market capitalization of $76.38 billion. XRP saw heavier selling, sliding 3.7% to $1.09. Its 24-hour trading volume reached $1.40 billion, while market capitalization came in at $68.26 billion.
Solana and Dogecoin Post Steeper Losses
Solana (SOL) declined 4.1% to $78.02 after generating more than $2.40 billion in 24-hour trading volume. Its market capitalization held at $45.40 billion. TRON (TRX) showed more resilience than most major tokens, slipping only 0.2% to $0.3287 with a market capitalization of $31.18 billion.
Hyperliquid (HYPE) also weakened, falling 3.9% to $68.12 on $533.68 million in daily volume. Dogecoin (DOGE) posted the sharpest drop among the leading cryptocurrencies, losing 4.4% to trade at $0.07224. It recorded $607.71 million in trading volume and held a market capitalization of $11.20 billion.
Small-Cap Tokens Rally Against the Broader Downturn
While large-cap assets remained under pressure, several smaller tokens posted outsized gains during the same session. Cash Cat (CASHCAT) led the market’s top gainers with a jump of 1,690.3% and $146.14 million in trading volume. EVAA Protocol (EVAA) rose 165.3% with $82.42 million in activity, while Yei Finance (CLO) climbed 45.6% on nearly $3.5 million in daily volume.
Other notable gainers included edgeX (EDGE), up 40.2% with $26.59 million in trading volume; Rekt (REKT), up 24.2%; Safe (SAFE), up 14.9%; MemeCore (M), up 14.6%; and Dolphin (POD), up 13.3%. The day’s trading showed a clear split: selling remained concentrated in the largest cryptocurrencies, while selected lower-cap tokens drew strong buying interest.
