Bitcoin held above the $81,000 mark in the latest session, trading at $81,203 with daily volume topping $31 billion. Its market capitalization stayed above $1.62 trillion. Tuesday’s market action was noticeably steadier, with major cryptocurrencies showing mixed but improving momentum and trading activity spreading across both large-cap and mid-cap digital assets.
Bitcoin Defends Key Level While Large Caps Stay Active
As Bitcoin stabilized, XRP and Solana stood out among the major altcoins. XRP traded near $1.46, holding relatively steady during the broader recovery attempt. Solana climbed toward $96 as activity accelerated across several major exchanges. Ethereum remained active near $2,310 even after facing moderate downward pressure earlier in the session. BNB added 1.5% to trade above $662, while Dogecoin stayed close to the $0.10 area.
Mid-Cap Tokens Outperform as Traders Rotate Into Riskier Names
Market participation extended well beyond the largest cryptocurrencies. Several mid-cap and smaller tokens delivered much stronger moves as traders increased exposure to higher-volatility assets. BUILDon (B) was among the top gainers, jumping 61% in 24 hours and generating more than $74 million in trading volume. Gigachad (GIGA) rose 57%, while Irys (IRYS) gained more than 40%.
Humanity (H) advanced 35% as trading strengthened across multiple exchanges. Telcoin (TEL) added more than 30%, Billions Network (BILL) climbed 27%, and Yooldo Games (ESPORTS) increased nearly 26%. The move showed clear rotation into speculative names. Even so, the broader market direction remained tied to Bitcoin.
Institutional Focus Stays on Bitcoin Despite Broader Altcoin Participation
The report said Bitcoin’s ability to remain above $81,000 continued to support confidence across the crypto sector. Altcoin participation widened and XRP and SOL helped drive momentum among large-cap names, but institutional attention remained concentrated on Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies. Traders are now watching whether altcoins can sustain that pace while Bitcoin keeps control of the market’s broader direction.
