Bitcoin traded at about $64,006, up 0.35% on the day according to TradingView. The move extends a recovery from this year’s sharp drop, when price briefly neared $58,000, yet the market is still struggling to clear the $64,500 to $65,000 resistance area that has repeatedly stalled advances.

Demand contraction eases as selling pressure cools

CryptoQuant said contractions in both spot and futures demand have been easing since June 2026. Julio Moreno, Head of Research at the firm, said the current setup reflects less aggressive selling and a better environment for buyers than earlier in the move lower. The platform’s 30-day demand growth data showed spot and futures demand becoming less negative by late June, lining up with Bitcoin’s rebound.

That shift points to stabilization rather than strong accumulation. Selling pressure has eased, which has helped price recover, but the data does not yet show a decisive new upside phase. The report also noted that July has historically been a supportive month for Bitcoin, a seasonal pattern that could help maintain support if present conditions hold.

Two liquidity zones are shaping the short-term range

Technical analysis places Bitcoin inside a descending channel, with price sitting between two notable liquidity pockets. The upper zone stands at $64,450 to $64,520, where buy-side liquidity has built above recent highs. If price pushes into that band, stop orders could be triggered quickly, followed by profit-taking or renewed selling.

On the downside, analysts identified a demand zone at $63,620 to $63,700, where sell-side liquidity is concentrated. A drop into that area may attract buyers and produce a fast rebound. Rather than calling for an immediate breakout in either direction, analysts are watching for confirmation only after one of these liquidity boundaries is tested, since volatility often rises as price searches for support or resistance.

$65,000 remains the line that buyers need to reclaim

On a broader technical view, Bitcoin has posted a solid July rebound but now faces a major barrier between $64,500 and $65,000. Analysts describe this area as a 4-hour order block that has capped several prior rallies and overlaps with historical zones of heavier selling, especially from institutional traders.

Recent price action has also formed a sequence of lower highs. That pattern suggests buying momentum is fading as Bitcoin approaches resistance. If bulls fail to break clearly above $65,000, the market could remain exposed to another corrective move. The first major support sits near $61,000; a break below that level would point to a possible shift in market structure and leave the next demand area at $58,000 to $59,000 in focus. If buyers do reclaim $65,000, technical targets would open the way toward $67,000.

Indicators stay balanced with no clear trend signal

TradingView’s technical summary for BTC currently shows a Neutral rating. Out of the full set of indicators, 9 point to Buy, 9 to Neutral, and 8 to Sell. Among momentum gauges, RSI (14) is 53, in neutral territory, while MACD (12,26) at -202 gives a buy signal. Stochastic %K at 90, Stochastic RSI Fast at 97, CCI (20) at 92, and ADX (14) at 24 also sit in neutral readings.

At the same time, Momentum (10) at 2,524 and Bull Bear Power at 1,808 are flashing sell signals. Taken together, the data points to a market that is stabilizing but has not confirmed a fresh uptrend. For now, the main technical question remains unchanged: whether Bitcoin can deliver a sustained move above the $64,500 to $65,000 resistance band.
