Bitcoin stayed close to the $70,000 mark in the latest trading session, with the broader crypto market showing no single direction. BTC traded at $69,894.45, up 0.1% over 24 hours, while daily volume climbed above $53.49 billion, pointing to steady liquidity even as price action remained tight.
The wider market was restrained. Large-cap tokens moved in small increments on both sides of the line, suggesting traders were still watching key levels rather than chasing momentum across the board.
Ethereum Slips While XRP and TRX Edge Higher
Ethereum moved lower during the same period. ETH changed hands near $2,022.74, down 1.2% in 24 hours, though turnover remained strong with about $20.87 billion in daily trading volume.
Elsewhere among major assets, BNB traded around $642.68, down 0.3%, with roughly $821 million in daily volume. XRP posted a slight gain to $1.38, rising 0.2% over the session, and recorded more than $3.26 billion in trading activity. Solana slipped 0.3% to $86.03, backed by about $4.26 billion in volume.
TRON also moved up modestly, trading near $0.2873 after a 0.4% gain, while daily volume reached about $415 million. Dogecoin rose 0.7% to $0.09215, supported by approximately $2.33 billion in daily turnover. The changes were limited, but they showed that capital in large-cap names remained selective.
Smaller Tokens Outperform With Sharp Daily Gains
Outside the top tier, smaller cryptocurrencies posted much stronger percentage moves. Aria.AI (ARIA) was among the session’s strongest performers, jumping 38.2% to $0.1361 with daily volume above $15 million. River (RIVER) climbed 37.8% to $15.30 and generated more than $43.55 million in trading volume.
Xai (XAI) advanced 34.5% to $0.01237, supported by roughly $60.97 million in daily trading activity. Janction (JCT) gained 25.9% to about $0.002121, while Qubic (QUBIC) rose 23.9% to around $0.06859.
The session drew a clear contrast across segments of the market: Bitcoin stayed near a major psychological threshold, large-cap altcoins traded in narrow ranges, and smaller tokens captured the strongest momentum with multiple double-digit gains.
