Bitcoin traded at $88,380.27 during the session, moving closer to the $90,000 mark as buying activity strengthened across the crypto market. The asset rose 0.8% on the day, with daily trading volume reaching $43.19 billion and market capitalization holding near $1.77 trillion. That steady move kept Bitcoin at the center of the session while gains spread across both large-cap and mid-cap tokens.

Large caps post measured gains

Ethereum outperformed Bitcoin on a percentage basis, rising 2.5% to $2,936.85. Daily volume came in at $27.58 billion, supporting a market capitalization of $354.49 billion. BNB added 1.5% to trade at $884.00, with volume of $1.18 billion and a market value of $120.52 billion. XRP also moved higher, climbing 1.1% to $1.90 on turnover of $2.61 billion.

Solana maintained its upward trend, gaining 1.8% to $124.39 while recording $4.09 billion in daily volume and a market capitalization of $70.38 billion. TRON posted a smaller increase of 0.4% to $0.2956, with volume of $462.34 million. Dogecoin rose 0.8% to $0.1225 on $951.84 million in trading activity, while Cardano gained 1.5% to $0.3521 with daily volume of $412.34 million.

Mid-cap names lead the sharpest breakouts

The biggest percentage moves came from mid-cap tokens. White Whale surged 60.5% to $0.07284, backed by $48.28 million in volume. BankrCoin followed with a 51.6% jump to $0.0003039 and $8.97 million in turnover. Acurast climbed 39.7% to $0.2351, showing the session’s appetite for higher-beta assets.

Axie Infinity also rallied sharply, rising 33.6% to $2.59 while posting $938.76 million in daily volume. Purr advanced 30.0% to $0.06742, and EGL1 gained 26.8% to $0.04273. The spread of gains beyond the top tier pointed to wider market participation rather than a move limited to Bitcoin alone.

Ethereum-linked tokens move with ETH

Ethereum-related assets reflected the same direction. Lido Staked Ether (STETH) traded at $2,935.99 after a 2.5% increase, with market capitalization at $27.69 billion. Wrapped stETH (WSTETH) matched that strength, trading at $3,599.44 on volume of $39.59 million.

Bitcoin’s approach toward $90,000 shaped the tone of the market, but the session was also defined by strong follow-through in large caps and far steeper gains in selected mid-cap tokens.
