A reversal in oil prices sparked a broad shift across global markets. Bitcoin rose about 2%, U.S. equity futures bounced from session lows, and both gold and silver moved higher as risk appetite returned.
The move followed developments tied to Iranian assets. A market update posted on social platform X by BullTheoryio said sentiment in futures markets was improving, and traders responded by rotating back into risk assets. After three weeks of trading pressure, buying interest started to reappear.
Equity futures rebound from intraday lows
S&P 500 futures recovered from an earlier slump and climbed roughly 0.55% from the low of the day. As the wave of selling eased, buyers stepped back in. Nasdaq futures also staged a clear rebound, helped by strength in technology shares, rising about 0.45% from session lows.
Small caps showed the strongest percentage recovery. Russell 2000 futures led the advance, rebounding around 0.7% from their lows. That kind of move pointed to broader participation in the recovery rather than a rebound driven only by the largest stocks.
WTI drops as the market reprices supply expectations
Bull Theory’s update centered on crude. WTI prices fell sharply during trading, wiping out earlier gains as sentiment shifted. Traders adjusted positions after progress involving Iranian assets changed expectations around supply, and oil dropped about 3% during the reversal.
The report said prospects for additional supply changed market positioning quickly. Concerns over tighter availability faded, and sellers moved aggressively into the energy market. WTI drifted back toward the $76 area, while earlier strength near $78 disappeared and the session’s geopolitical premium faded.
Gold, silver and Bitcoin rise together
Strength was not limited to equities. Gold gained roughly 2%, while silver climbed close to 4%, outperforming many major assets during the session. Bitcoin joined the rebound as well, adding around 2% as market sentiment improved.
The parallel move in metals and Bitcoin stood out. Capital was not concentrated in one corner of the market; it spread across several asset classes at once. With equity futures recovering, oil falling, and defensive metals rising alongside crypto, prices adjusted rapidly after the fresh developments.
