Outflow Scale Hits Recent High
Bitcoin spot ETFs experienced a significant capital exodus last week, with net outflows reaching $1.79 billion for the trading period from June 22 to June 26 (ET), according to data from SoSoValue. This marks one of the largest weekly outflows since the product series launched, signaling profit-taking pressure and macro uncertainties affecting institutional positioning.
BlackRock and Fidelity ETFs Lead Outflows
BlackRock's IBIT recorded the heaviest outflow at $1.303 billion, accounting for 72.8% of the total weekly outflow. Despite this, IBIT's cumulative net inflows remain robust at $60.77 billion. Fidelity's FBTC followed with $315 million in outflows, bringing its historical net inflow to $10.14 billion. Together, these two products represented over 90% of the week's total outflow, highlighting how major institutional ETFs serve as primary liquidity channels during market corrections.
Grayscale Mini Trust Defies Trend
In stark contrast, Grayscale's Bitcoin Mini Trust (ticker: BTC) attracted a net inflow of $71.7 million, making it the only major spot ETF to post positive flows last week. The product now holds $2.38 billion in cumulative net inflows, suggesting continued investor interest in lower-fee structures or brand trust.
ETF AUM and Historical Net Inflows
As of press time, total net assets of Bitcoin spot ETFs stood at $72.82 billion, with the ETF-to-market-cap ratio at 6.08%. Cumulative net inflows since inception reached $51.61 billion, indicating that the long-term institutional accumulation trend remains intact despite short-term withdrawal episodes.
