CryptoQuant said on Sept. 15 that Bitcoin short-term holders, or STH, have remained in partial profit for 30 consecutive days, marking the longest such streak in 2026. The firm said the pattern points to strengthening bullish signals in the market. As of Sept. 15, the value of profitable STH-held supply stood at about $168.2 billion, while loss-making supply was about $102.6 billion. CryptoQuant said sustained profitability among short-term holders has historically been an important sign that a bear market is ending and that Bitcoin is re-entering a longer-term uptrend. It added that a similar setup appeared near the end of the 2022 bear market. At the same time, the broader Bitcoin investor base has stayed in net profit since Aug. 19. CryptoQuant also put the cost basis for holders with coins aged one to three months at about $63,372, and for those holding three to six months at about $73,190. The firm said that if short-term holders can keep locking in profits while continuing to hold, the probability of a broader shift into a long-term bull trend would rise.

According to BlockBeats, CryptoQuant said on Sept. 15 that Bitcoin short-term holders (STH) have remained in partial profit for 30 consecutive days, the longest uninterrupted profitable stretch recorded in 2026. The firm said the reading shows bullish signals in the market are getting stronger.

Data cited by CryptoQuant showed that as of Sept. 15, profitable STH-held supply was valued at about $168.2 billion, while loss-making supply was worth about $102.6 billion. CryptoQuant said sustained profitability among short-term holders has historically been an important signal that a Bitcoin bear market is ending and the market is moving back into a long-term uptrend. It noted that a similar pattern also appeared near the end of the 2022 bear market.

At the same time, the overall Bitcoin investor base has remained in net profit since Aug. 19. CryptoQuant said the current cost basis for holders with a one- to three-month holding period is about $63,372, while the cost basis for holders in the three- to six-month cohort is about $73,190.

CryptoQuant said that if short-term holders can continue locking in profits while still holding their coins, the probability of Bitcoin shifting into a long-term bull market trend in the current cycle would increase.
