According to an official announcement by Bitget, as reported by ChainCatcher, the exchange has listed 45 tokenized spot tokens representing US stocks and popular ETFs. The newly added tokens include rIBM (IBM), rGS (Goldman Sachs), rC (Citigroup), rAXP (American Express), and rJNJ (Johnson & Johnson), among others.
Bitget, a global cryptocurrency exchange, is expanding its range of real-world asset (RWA) offerings with this move. These "r"-prefixed tokens allow users to trade traditional equities directly with crypto assets on the platform, bypassing traditional brokerage accounts and settling transactions instantly on-chain.
The listing covers a diverse set of major companies and ETFs, providing investors with a broader array of asset allocation options and reflecting the ongoing convergence of cryptocurrency markets with traditional stock markets.
