Bitget Launches U.S. Stock Options with 540+ Instruments
Cryptocurrency exchange Bitget has announced the official launch of U.S. stock options trading, initially supporting over 540 popular instruments. The coverage includes major indices such as the S&P 500 (SPX), Nasdaq 100 (NDX), and Dow Jones 30 (DJX), along with key ETFs like SPY and QQQ. According to the exchange's roadmap, it will gradually expand to full equity and ETF coverage. This move positions Bitget as the first mainstream crypto exchange to offer direct access to U.S. equity options, marking a notable convergence between the crypto platform and traditional financial derivatives markets.
Trading Rules: Zero Commission, T+1 Settlement, Cash Only
To reduce entry barriers, Bitget applies a zero-commission fee structure for all U.S. stock options trades—no trading fees are charged. The trading follows a T+1 settlement cycle consistent with U.S. cash equities, and trading hours are 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM Eastern Time. Only cash-backed transactions are permitted (no margin borrowing), with both Long Call and Long Put positions requiring 100% margin. The platform provides a real-time profit/loss estimation tool, supports order modification, cancellation, and historical record queries, enabling transparent asset allocation. Users must upgrade to Bitget App version 2.87.0 to access the new feature.
First-Trade Incentive: NVIDIA Stock Airdrop
To encourage first-time trading, Bitget has launched a promotional campaign: eligible users who register and execute their first U.S. stock options trade during the activity period will receive $15 worth of NVIDIA (NVDA) stock. The initiative aims to lower the initial testing cost while leveraging NVIDIA's strong brand appeal to attract participants. Bitget indicated it will continue optimizing the trading experience based on user feedback and explore further integration of traditional finance with the crypto ecosystem.
