Bitget said it is expanding its open custody and off-exchange settlement infrastructure for institutional clients as the institutional crypto market moves toward separating custody from trading. The company said the buildout is aimed at giving institutions more flexible choices across asset custody, treasury management, and trading access. According to the company, Bitget has already integrated with Copper ClearLoop, Cactus Custody Oasis, Fireblocks Off Exchange, OSL MirrorEX, Bitfire PrimeMirror, and Sygnum Protect. It said the mix of custody and settlement arrangements is designed to address differing institutional needs in asset segregation, custody preferences, settlement efficiency, and access to liquidity. Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said different types of institutions require different setups for custody, settlement, and capital management. She said Bitget wants to provide open, compatible infrastructure so clients can choose a model that fits their own operating structure while improving capital efficiency and liquidity access alongside asset risk segregation. The company also described the expansion as a key part of its UEX strategy, adding that institutional services will remain a strategic priority.
