Bitget has upgraded its Proof of Reserves (PoR) system, expanding the range of verifiable assets from four cryptocurrencies to 19 major assets, according to ABMedia. The move brings a wider set of user-held assets into the exchange’s reserve verification framework.
After the upgrade, the platform will publish reserve information for each supported asset and broaden the scope of its Proof of Assets feature, allowing users to check whether their holdings were included in reserve snapshots.
Bitget said that as exchanges support a growing number of asset types, reserve transparency also needs to expand. The latest change extends reserve checks beyond a small group of core cryptocurrencies to a more diverse asset set.
PoR coverage now includes 19 assets
Under the update, the PoR verification scope now covers BTC, USDT, ETH, LTC, LINK, XRP, USDC, DOGE, BNB, SOL, ADA, NEAR, XAUT, TAO, SUI, ONDO, HYPE, PI, and USDGO.
Through the updated PoR page, users can view reserve ratios and total user assets for each supported asset, check whether platform reserves are sufficient, and see which public blockchain networks hold the user asset distribution.
Proof of Assets expanded as well
The Proof of Assets feature has also been extended to the same asset list. Users can use Merkle Tree verification to confirm whether their personal holdings were included in a specific PoR snapshot.
Bitget said it continues to provide detailed verification materials, including Merkle hash data, snapshot information, and related records, for users who want to perform additional checks. Users can also download the relevant data and verify their own asset records through public verification methods.
45 consecutive PoR reports released
Bitget said it has published monthly Proof of Reserves reports since December 2022. As of August 2026, the platform had released 45 consecutive PoR reports. Its latest report showed an overall reserve ratio of 122%, which remained above the 1:1 reserve standard.
The company said it uses Merkle Tree technology to aggregate and verify user assets as part of its transparency framework.
Gracy Chen comments on self-verification
Bitget CEO Gracy Chen said, 「Users should not judge the status of their assets solely based on what a platform says. They should be able to verify it themselves. Over the past four years, Proof of Reserves has been an important part of Bitget’s transparency mechanism. As the platform supports a more diverse range of assets, the scope of verification also needs to expand. Moving from four assets to 19 allows more users to understand the reserve information behind their holdings.」
Bitget also said that if a specific asset is not included in individual verification coverage, or if a corresponding personal asset record has not yet been generated, the Proof of Assets interface will display a notice to help users interpret the result correctly.
