Bitget Wallet has repositioned itself as an all-in-one everyday finance app, moving payments to the center of the product experience. The company said the shift comes after the wallet passed 90 million users worldwide, pushing it to support more frequent real-world activity such as spending, sending, saving, and managing funds.
New Pay hub becomes the main entry point
The clearest change is a new Pay hub placed in the app’s main navigation. Bitget Wallet has grouped crypto cards, QR payments, bank transfers, and in-app shopping into a single front-facing flow aimed at cutting the number of steps needed to move or spend funds. According to the company, that makes it one of the few self-custodial platforms offering major crypto payment methods in one place.
Users can spend crypto globally through cards accepted across the Mastercard and Visa networks, make local payments by scanning QR codes, or send stablecoins directly to bank accounts where that feature is supported. The product direction is straightforward: combine global and local payment options in one app while keeping user control intact through self-custody.
Interface redesign targets frequent onchain use
Bitget Wallet also rebuilt parts of the interface around repeated daily use. The update introduces Dynamic Panel, a live notification feature that keeps real-time transaction updates visible without interrupting the current task. It also adds Today’s View, a swipe-access screen that surfaces recent activity and commonly used actions. Alongside a cleaner modular layout, the redesign is meant to shorten the path for routine onchain fund management.
Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet, said people are choosing onchain finance because it fits the way money needs to function in a digital economy. He said blockchain reduces slow settlement, opaque fees, and geographic limits found in traditional finance. As stablecoins and self-custodial wallets are used more often for daily needs, he said the company is focused on making saving, sending, and spending intuitive and turning the wallet into a daily crypto account built onchain.
Usage data points to a broader payments shift
Bitget Wallet framed the redesign within a larger industry move. It cited industry data showing that stablecoin transactions topped $10 trillion in 2025, while spending across major crypto card programs rose 525% year over year. In its view, those figures reflect a move away from investment-led wallet usage toward accounts used for day-to-day financial activity.
The company’s own data points in the same direction. Over the past year, spending and yield activity based on stablecoins grew faster than trading, with card spending up more than 28-fold year over year and Earn subscriptions expanding nearly 10-fold. Bitget Wallet said it operates as a fully self-custodial wallet and does not hold or control user funds, private keys, or user data. It also said transactions are signed by users and executed on public blockchains, and referenced a $700 million user protection fund.
