BitMart said it will carry out an orderly shutdown of its trading business, according to an official announcement cited by BlockBeats on July 26. The exchange said the decision came after reviewing its operating conditions, the market environment and its future strategic direction.
Service reductions begin on July 26
Starting at 01:30 UTC on July 26, BitMart will gradually stop new user registration as well as crypto and fiat deposit services. Futures accounts will be switched to reduce-only mode. Spot trading will no longer accept new orders, and automated offerings including copy trading, grid trading and API trading will also be phased out.
All trading services to end on Aug. 26
From 01:00 UTC on Aug. 26, BitMart will stop all spot, futures and other trading services. The platform said any futures positions that remain open at that point may be handled according to mark price, index price or applicable settlement rules.
Products including wealth management, staking, lending and Launchpad will also be terminated in stages. Specific redemption and settlement arrangements will be announced separately.
Platform operations scheduled to end in 2027
BitMart said it plans to formally cease operating the trading platform on Jan. 31, 2027, at 15:59 UTC. After the shutdown, users will still be able to log into their accounts during a designated period, review historical records and submit withdrawal requests.
Users urged to complete verification, close positions and withdraw funds
The exchange advised users to complete identity verification and close all positions before 01:00 UTC on Aug. 26, and to submit withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC that same day.
Withdrawal services remain available for now, but BitMart said some requests may be subject to manual review because of KYC checks, device and account security requirements, source-of-funds reviews, withdrawal address verification, Travel Rule obligations and sanctions screening.
BitMart warns users to save records and watch for scams
The platform also urged users to download and save account balances, deposit and withdrawal records, and trading history in advance. It warned against scams involving people impersonating platform staff to charge “expedite fees” or “unfreezing fees,” or to ask for passwords, verification codes, private keys or seed phrases.
