Digital asset trading platform BitMart US has announced its formal entry into the prediction market sector with the launch of an event contract product in the United States. The company said the product is designed to operate under the regulatory framework of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, or CFTC.

About 405 live event markets available on day one

According to the announcement, the product offered around 405 real-time event markets on its first day online. These markets span sports, economics, politics and digital assets, giving U.S. users access to trading opportunities tied to outcomes of real-world events.

BitMart US said users will be able to trade around results linked to financial data, policy changes, sporting events and digital asset price movements. The event contract product is supported by technical infrastructure from prediction market service provider Plaee.

The company added that the launch brings together BitMart US’s trading platform, liquidity resources and user base. The product also includes a trading interface designed specifically for prediction markets, supporting the live event markets made available through the new offering.
