BitMine Immersion Technologies said it purchased 24,266 ETH over the past week, while also increasing its cash position by $73 million. As of 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Jan. 11, the company said its total asset base, including crypto assets, cash, and strategic investments, had reached $14 billion.

ETH treasury reached 4.17 million coins

According to the company’s update, BitMine held 4,167,768 ETH, valued at $3,119 per coin. It also reported holdings of 193 BTC, a strategic investment of about $23 million in Eightco Holdings (NASDAQ: ORBS), and a cash position of $988 million. Based on those figures, BitMine said its ETH holdings represented about 3.45% of global ETH supply, keeping it as the largest Ethereum reserve entity in the market.

The company added that it has completed nearly 70% of its long-term goal of acquiring 5% of total ETH supply within roughly six months. The latest purchase keeps that treasury strategy moving at a rapid pace.

Nearly 596,864 ETH added to staking in one week

BitMine has also been expanding its staking operation. As of Jan. 11, 2026, the company said it had staked 1,256,083 ETH, worth about $3.9 billion at current prices. Of that total, 596,864 ETH was added to staking during the past week alone.

BitMine said its staked ETH amount is now larger than that of any other single entity. The firm is working with three staking service providers as it prepares for the 2026 commercial launch of MAVAN, short for Made in America Validator Network. Using the current blended Ethereum staking reward rate, or CESR, of about 2.81%, the company said a fully staked position could generate annual returns worth hundreds of millions of dollars.

Tom Lee points to 2026 as a turning point

BitMine chairman and Fundstrat founder Tom Lee said in the announcement that 2026 will be a key year for the broader crypto sector. He argued that rising stablecoin adoption and the tokenization of assets are pushing blockchain toward becoming a core settlement layer for Wall Street, with Ethereum holding what he described as the strongest structural position in that setup.

Lee also described the market correction after October 2025 as a “mini crypto winter.” He said 2026 should bring a price recovery, with stronger growth momentum possible in 2027 and 2028. On BitMine’s own strategy, the company said it will continue to focus on increasing ETH per share and will use equity financing tools only when management believes they are favorable to shareholder value.
